Bogen MLA-40 Modular Lectern Array™

The Bogen MLA-40 represents an innovative approach to lectern design. This self-powered system utilizes "high-end" speaker array concepts to provide superior horizontal dispersion in a modular design for maximum flexibility. The MLA-40 can be configured for either table-top use or as a traditional podium style lectern, making it ideal for use in schools, churches, hotels and rental situations.

The system consists of two modular components that are easily assembled or disassembled. The elegant, contemporary styling of the system is complemented by a medium oak finish.

The sound system features a 40 watt RMS amplifier (4 ohm) with a frequency response of 20Hz to 20KHz, ± 1 dB with distortion limited to less than 0.5%. A high-quality cardioid condenser microphone is supplied with the system. Two mic inputs are provided, as well as an auxiliary input, each with independent volume controls. Both mic inputs provide phantom power and share common bass and treble controls. A speech filter and ALC (automatic level control) circuit enhance intelligibility in difficult acoustic environments. Both switched and unswitched speaker outputs are provided, along with a line level output for taping or connection to another audio system. The speaker complement includes two 8" speakers in the table-top portion and four 8" speakers in the podium base. Dimensions: 21-5/8" W x 48" H x 19-1/2" D. Weight: 133 lbs.
