HSA Rolltop Custom
The HSA Rolltop Custom provides a beautiful and convenient way of dealing with housing consoles, keyboards, controllers, amplifiers and wide variety of 19" rack mountable electronic equipment. Very suitable for church, auditorium, studio and boardroom environments, the Rolltop Custom is an easy way to aesthetically blend electronic systems into their settings.
Construction:
Rolltops are built from 3/4" thick lumber and veneer core red oak plywood
for high dimensional integrity, consistency and strength. Front, back and top edges are
faced with gently edge-rounded red oak solids for extra beauty and strength where it's
needed most.
Finish:
A variety of colors and finishes are available. New waterborne
stains, sealers and finish coats produce a beautiful grain pattern and depth of color.
They maintain the natural feel of the wood yet offer some of the best protection from
abrasion and spills and stay looking great with minimal upkeep.
Lower Racks:
The twin 10 space (17½") extra deep industry standard racks are designed to
accept deep chassis power amplifiers and processors. Rails are 12 gauge steel with extra
half-rack tapped screw holes to allow for a wide variety of equipment spacing. A full
2" clearance is given between the rack rail and tambour doors to clear equipment
knobs and handles and to assist with ventilation. The tambour rack doors are secured with
flush-mount brass cabinet locks keyed alike to each other and the main tambour's lock.
Additional ventilation and cable access openings are found at the top and bottom of the
rack rear. Both racks have a removable oak rear cover panel for security and aesthetics.
Triple Upper Racks:
One of the best features of the Rolltop Custom is the triple side-by-side
rack bridge above the table top. This allows for the easy installation and use of a
variety of electronic devices such as cassette decks, CD players, VCR's, effect
processors, wireless mics, etc. Each of the three individual racks provides 3 vertical
rack units of mounting space (5¼"). In addition, a small pullout oak drawer is
provided between the second and third racks for storage of small accessories.
Table Top:
The ¾" thick table surface is at 25¾" height for comfortable
operation of mixing consoles, keyboards, recording equipment, etc. There is an ample
tabletop cable access slot centered at the rear to guide cabling. There is also a 3"
clearance between the rear of the tabletop and the tambour when in the open position. The
wood construction provides easy custom on-site solutions to cable dressing/harnessing and
special equipment mounting needs.
Tambours:
HSA hand builds their own tambours to assure quality and extra strength. The
1" x ½" thick tambours are lead by a pair of ¾" thick solid oak lead
tambours for extra strength at the oak handles. The thicker profile results in smoother,
jam-free operation which can be maintained with an occasional application of ordinary
paraffin or beeswax. A flush mounted brass cabinet lock on the Rolltop's right side
secures the tambour without getting in the way and is keyed alike to the rack doors.
